Frankenstein (2025)

Have you ever imagined life without death? The movie begins with this feeling hidden beneath the opening scene  a ship frozen in the middle of nowhere and a terrified man pulled out of the ice. His face tells you everything: he isn’t afraid of the world… he’s afraid of what he created. Right from the start, the film shows that this is not just about a monster, but about a man who tried to control life itself and now can’t escape the consequences. Directed by Guillermo del Toro and produced by Guillermo del Toro, J. Miles Dale, and Scott Stuber, Frankenstein (2025) follows the journey of Dr. Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac), whose obsession with defeating death leads him to create a living being the Creature (Jacob Elordi). But instead of glory, he faces guilt, fear and heartbreak. Del Toro beautifully shows the creature as a misunderstood soul rather than a villain. Special Features & Highlights • Stunning Visuals – Snowy landscapes, dark labs, candlelit halls… every scene f...

Kahur

...The flickering form of the fireflies shining on the road... the kingdom of the cursed moon in the clear sky, the empire of the sun had set, as if the one and a half-moon 'ya', who dominated the palace of King Chandoba, was skillfully watching over the earth... While all this was happening, I, a poet...how could I write a relevant poem on all this? I really wanted to suggest poems about the romantic period on the youth blooming in youth, but a strange feeling was stirring in my heart. Seeing these moons in the clear sky, I have never been tempted to write love poems, but today... today I had reached the point of calling them cursed.  Without hesitation, I decided to take a walk to get rid of all these thoughts. Who else would I meet at this hour other than the patrollers? It was almost midnight, "Bagulbuva will come! I don't want to sneak out at all" and I was old enough to believe this and even beyond that, I was old enough to exercise my right to vote. To get...

010101

I ran for my life. I had been running for several miles but the road was endless. While working on a new timer machine in the physics laboratory, I suddenly felt like I had fallen somewhere. 4-5 people were following me, but I wondered if they were really humans or some other animal, because their entire bodies were like humans but computer programming languages and codes were written on many places on their bodies. The skin of their entire bodies seemed to be embossed as if they had been tattooed. Instead of a hat, each had a crown on their head. On that diamond-studded crown were sparkling antenna sensors. I was running while wondering who those people were. My whole body was drenched in sweat and suddenly I felt someone hit me with a laser from behind, my head went numb and I fell to the ground. I was half unconscious, I could hear the man's speech but I could not understand the language properly.  ,I knew from their movements that they were going to take me somewhere, but...

Adventurous

It was late to come from the gym. To go to the gym, we have to cross the Parli Ghat every day and go to Satar. The distance is not that much, eleven kilometers, but the road is a ghat and surrounded by mountains! The family keeps shouting at the girls not to stay outside the house for so long at night, but Nishu tai and I do not do anything during our exercise time. We come home at our agreed time, that is, between 9:30. Even today, after completing all the exercises, I look in the mirror and take high-quality photos of my body. After getting fresh, I kicked the car and started to go home. My body, tired from exercise, was very hungry. I had increased the speed of the car so that I could reach home early and settle down on a hot plate.  There was not much traffic on that deserted ghat road, but in the dark, the sound of night owls created an eerie atmosphere. The village cemetery is located next to the bridge of Urmodi on the way. There is a legend that a 'she' takes at least...

Taali

I really want to praise every artist in this series and most importantly Sushmita Sen who plays Gauri Sawant! The personal life of the person whose image is formed in front of us as someone who only claps and asks for money at toll booths and in trains, the personal life and the changes he has to endure... are truly heartbreaking. There is a natural life outside of men and women, but don't we have the right to live because it is not socially acceptable in our society? Many answers to this can be found in the journey of 'Gauri Sawant'. Her journey 'from Ganesh to Gauri' forces us to think about the life of this community. Seeing the events in the series, these events are happening around us, we don't even bother to look at them with sensitivity, we realize how crazy they are.  The most poignant incident in this series is the protest by insensitive people against the demand that Nargis' death and then only the dead body be kept on a stretcher! Seeing this, th...

The Enemy Within

Today, on my way back from college at noon I stopped at a stall to buy grapes because the price was falling. The vendor was an elderly woman — she looked faint from the sun. I took a water bottle from my bag and handed it to her. Despite the heat, I asked gently, “Why are you working in this weather?” She replied, “I must feed my stomach.” There is nothing surprising about hard work being the means of survival — earning one’s daily bread is the grind of life. But I asked, “At your age, when your health cannot keep up, why are you still toiling?” She answered, “As long as you live, you must keep yourself occupied. Our master died when the child was very small. I raised him alone — did odd jobs here and there, got him educated, got him married. Once he was settled, I could have rested, but a little money must still come into the house. If I don’t earn, my daughter-in-law won’t give me any household allowance. At my age I can’t afford to sit idle; if I sell grapes I earn a little mor...

Kaksparsh

A Soul-Stirring Tribute to Women’s Silent Struggles As the title Kaksparsh itself suggests, the film draws its essence from the significance of the crow’s touch (काकस्पर्श) in Hindu rituals like pind-daan and dashakriya vidhi. The movie beautifully connects this spiritual symbolism to a heart-wrenching story — the moment when, during Mahadev’s pind-daan, the “crow’s touch” transforms Uma’s entire life into an abyss of sorrow. Set in pre-independence India, Kaksparsh powerfully depicts the tragic plight of widowed women — their lives stripped not just of dignity, but of the very right to exist peacefully. Watching the film, one cannot help but wonder: how terrifying was the history behind the freedom that women enjoy today? Uma, widowed at just 14 or 15, lives a life devoid of any emotional or physical fulfillment. The agony of a woman who dies without ever experiencing love or intimacy is portrayed with haunting sensitivity. Priya Bapat delivers a brilliant performance as Uma, em...
